Online Roulette

Roulette as a game, has been around for over 400 years. Roulette is a casino game named after the French word meaning little wheel.

It is a very successful and profitable casino table game and serious players know how to make money from every spin of the wheel

If you have been to a casino or watched movies or television, Roulette is the game where a large wheel spins around a small silver ball is dropped in. The wheel has numbers, usually 0 to 36, and where the ball stops is the winning number. Anyone who has bet on that number will win their bet x 36 (depending on the type of roulette been played).

How to play Roulette

In the game, players may choose to place bets on a single number, various groupings of numbers, the colors red or black, whether the number is odd or even, or if the numbers are high (19–36) or low (1–18).

Once you have placed your bets and the dealer calls no more bets, the ball is dropped into the wheel. At this point, you may not touch the table. When the ball comes to a stop, the croupier will place a marker on the winning number and do the payout accordingly.

The rules are easy. You simply place bets on numbers where you think the ball might land. You spread your bets so that you’re getting the best odds. What’s nice is that you can see the last 10 hands that were played and this allows you to “avoid” those numbers, thereby increasing your odds.

The two main types of Roulette tables are the American Roulette and European Roulette. The European roulette table has a higher edge for the player as it only has 1 zero. The American Roulette table has a “0” and an “00” (zero and double zero). This means a better house edge for the casino. It’s important to know this as there are different strategies for each type.

In American Roulette, the casino has a higher house edge than with European Roulette. After a big demand, casinos in Vegas have started putting European Roulette tables on the floors. So, if you are ever in a casino, look for a roulette wheel with 1 zero and you will know it is an European Roulette wheel and your edge on the casino increases.
